We understand every patient is unique and no mouth is the same. If you are missing one or many teeth, Dr. Schwei will take the time to evaluate what type of denture is best suited for your mouth. 1. Conventional Dentures
This denture is for patients who have lost all of their teeth or need to have any remaining teeth removed. In some circumstances, for optimal long-term results, some patients need time for their bone and tissues to heal after multiple extractions. A denture is custom made to fit in all the nooks and crannies of your mouth to give it the best fit possible.
2. Immediate Dentures
As the name suggests, immediate dentures are placed immediately following dental extractions. A set of immediate dentures may be the best solution when complete extractions of your remaining teeth are unavoidable, but it would inconvenient for you to live without teeth while your conventional dentures are created. However, because immediate dentures are inserted right after your dental surgery, your gums and jaw will change shape as they heal, so it may be necessary to have an immediate denture adjusted.

A partial denture is a removable, yet natural looking appliance that helps restore the form and function of your jaw by replacing one or several missing teeth. A partial denture is a functional and esthetic alternative for patients who cannot have a bridge or implant placed for any such reason. For those who are missing a few teeth, a partial denture also helps prevent shifting of the other teeth in your mouth, while giving you the confidence of having a beautiful, complete smile.
4. Implant Retained Dentures

However, there are options available for permanent denture retention through the surgical insertion of dental implants. By using between four and six implants on each arch (top and bottom jaw), we can permanently stabilize your denture, helping it look and feel as natural as the teeth you once had.
